This information includes a description of the special fund or its purpose and information on how to make contributions. Please consider making a contribution to one of these accounts that is close to your heart.
School Endowment Account:
This fund was formed by a gift to the congregation from the estate of Dr. Myron Falck. The fund supports the school. Interest from the fund is used to purchase items needed for the operation of the school. Envelopes are available in the rack by the mailboxes, or you may speak to the treasurer or financial secretary.
Preaching and Teaching Fund:
This fund is intended to encourage our youth to consider the preaching and teaching ministry in the WELS. Any student from the congregation studying to be a teacher or pastor at Martin Luther College or Wisconsin Lutheran Seminary is eligible to receive funds. Envelopes are available in the rack by the mailboxes, or you may speak to the treasurer or financial secretary.
Student Tuition Assistance Fund (STAF):
This fund provides an opportunity for all our members to help directly in providing tuition assistance for the young people of our congregation who are attending our WELS affiliated high school. Envelopes are provided in the envelope packet each year.
Money received in this fund is used to support the music program in the congregation. Funds are used to purchase music for the choir and band or other necessary items used in the music program. Envelopes are provided in the envelope packet each year.
Student Organist Fund:
The purpose of this fund is two-fold according to the guidelines: (1) To provide an opportunity for all our members to help directly in providing organ lessons and training for any member of our church, and (2) To encourage members of our church to serve the Lord as an organist by offering financial aid. Envelopes are available in the church basement.
Money received in this fund is used to support the computer needs and audiovisual accessories of the church and school. Envelopes are provided in the envelope packet each year.
Money received in this fund is given in memory of deceased members of the congregation with a designated purpose stated by either the deceased or the family members.
The fund exists to give our members the opportunity to give an offering to God that will be used to undertake major maintenance projects on the buildings or grounds that are a part of our congregation. By “major maintenance projects,” we mean things that are extraordinary. It should not be used for ordinary, regular projects that need to be done to maintain our properties. As an example, this fund should not be used to purchase floor cleaning products that are used frequently. It should not be used for yearly maintenance projects on the floors. This fund should be used for extraordinary projects like replacing the floors. The voters will determine when the offerings that are given will be used and on which projects. The council may make recommendations to the voters, but the voters will make the ultimate decision.
